First
Round: "COLORADO PARTY"
VERSUS
LINO OVIEDO AND UNACE
In a new political movement that surprised
powerfully, the Electoral Tribunal of the ANR - REPUBLICAN
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION -, Colorado Party, excluded of its registrations
to 53 former legislators and leaders of this political association
that responds to Lino Cesar Oviedo, natural leader of the
Movement UNACE - National Union of Ethics Colorados -. As
well as Oviedo itself, together with those previous ones,
it was excluded of the registrations.
Mr. Bader Rachid Lichi who claims the presidency of the party,
had concluded their command in April’99 and therefore,
according to the special political situation by which Paraguay
suffer, it doesn't summon to internal elections to choose
new authorities, Directive Commission and representatives
of Auxiliary Organisms. By this way, any resolution or opinion
generated by them it lacks validity and it is absolutely null,
according to the internal letter that rules this party.
This generated that the Lino Oviedo himself -as President
of the UNACE - he had to cross on the step, of such authoritarian
and antidemocratic disproportion, with a Statement directed
to the whole Movement of Ethicas Colorados and to everyone
of the ANR.
Truth is not very difficult to be understanded. According
the growing popularity that Lino Oviedo comes accumulating
and in face of the possibility of losing again in the internal
elections in hands of those that represent the feeling and
the working of the Colorado Party (obviously those who follow
the line of Oviedo), they have decided to take this chicanery
to come undone of its opponents in the internal elections
and to leave open the road to present as a "fingered"
candidate to somebody who could suit them in the elections
for Vice-president next month of August. Likewise this would
allow them to continue -to these such people that subscribe
to this true ill-treatment in favor of the rights of the members
of the party, with the settlements and negotiations with the
antidemocratic régime that governs in Paraguay and
of which they are supporters and ideologists...
