WE ADVANCE IT: CHANGES AND MORE CHANGES IN THE ARGAÑA LAWSUIT

 

As a gift for new year the Supreme Court of Justice of Paraguay left without any effect the resolution that it had designated as exclusive judge for the investigation of the case of the crime of Dr. Luís María Argaña, to the magistrate Dr. Jorge Bogarín.

In front of a challenge outlined before the lawsuit, the leafy file of the Argaña case passed to the hands of judge Rubén Darío Frutos.

 It must be remembered to the reader that with this new magistrate they are already three those judges that have intervened in this sounded case: the first one, for some days at the beginning (while he got ready the immense list to entitle, with innocent people, definitively the lawsuit), Dr. Gustavo Ocampo Gonzalez; the second until today, Dr. Jorge Bogarín Gonzalez, and, starting from now, Dr. Rubén Darío Frutos.

 

What can be said about these judicial maneuvers? First, something that we come stressing in this page, the great doubt about if all these actions could be adjusted to law. And second, that it has a strong smell that somebody want to repair those things that could not be achieved in the "official investigation", to try with this judge if it is possible to close, as soon as possible, this lawsuit and through this way to condemned those that it suits (not the true culprits), to the political interests of those that today they reign in Paraguay,

WHY ANY COMMUNICATION MEDIA IN PARAGUAY NAME THIS WEB PAGE?

 

The answer is very simple, the press self-censorship exists. We say self-censorship, because although this imposition it is not official, it has been able to settle as a constant threaten to those media that publish or that diffuse all those news that have any relation with Lino Oviedo and/or his political followers.
It is strange that in the newspapers of the last weekend it was spoken about the message that Oviedo made to the international community, and that it was diffused in this page, but without mentioning at least it address: www.oviedolinocesar.com.
What it is ignored by those who live outside of Paraguay, is that it has been begun a while ago in the diffusion media, a true hunt of witches directed against everyone that call himself "oviedist" or that it simply said that it doesn't like the on duty leaders. Even they intent making presentations to the justice of that country, to prevent that the media informs or publish any messages belonging to Lino Oviedo and to any politicians that can have some identification with him.
We want to make an explanation, this is not a critic to the media neither to journalists. We understand them from our sure place, in some part of the world, where the civil freedom and the rights to man’s free expression are respected. For that reason we reject the manipulation of freedom once again through the oppression that the state terrorism has implanted in the Paraguayan people, through the political hate, the harassment of everything that they estimate contrary to its spurious interests and that it can put in danger the regime implanted illegitimately in our brother Latin American country.
